There is no limit but they take time. The factors will be:
- Traffic
- Click Through Rate
- Conversion Rate
- Average purchase and commission
So your sales will be your total traffic, reduced by your click-through rate, reduced by your conversion rate. Then it will depend on what the converted visitors actually purchase. Obviously, you will make less selling low cost, low commission products. It takes time to build your traffic and lots of testing to improve your CTR to Amazon.
Also, the buying intent of the visitors will effect bot CTR and conversion once they end up at Amazon. 40 sales per 1000 clicks to Amazon (4% conversion rate) is a good rule of thumb.
Here is a full report on commercial intent from Backlinko.
One additional thing that may be useful is to see actual income reports from affiliates. I think you will see that most have a wide range of income sources. I included a number of income reports in this 101 sample Affiliate Sites post.
Hopefully, that will give you some motivation!
