Many parts of the country are experiencing severe heat. North and Central India Delhi, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, UP, Maharashtra, Telangana, Chhattisgarh and 9 states of the country are under tremendous heat. In most areas, the maximum daytime temperature is recorded near 40 to 46 degrees. Mercury in Delhi is not taking names. Continuous hot winds are blowing and the humidity remains. The Delhi temperature has exceeded 46 degrees Celsius. There are few chances of getting relief soon.



The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) estimates that on May 28, Delhi will see few clouds and thunderstorms. There is a possibility of rain on May 29 but the temperature is not expected to decrease by more than two-three degrees.
The Meteorological Department has issued an Orange Alert of Heat Wave (Loo walking) for the next four days for the Vidarbha region of Delhi, Rajasthan, Haryana, Punjab and Maharashtra.

Yellow alert in 6 states including Madhya Pradesh

The Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert in Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Odisha, Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. In the area with yellow alert, the heat wave will be continuous for at least 2 days.

The weather will be dry here

According to the Meteorological Department, the probability of rain in north-central India is extremely low. Skymet has predicted that severe heatwave will continue in Delhi, Haryana, Gujarat, Southwestern UP, Madhya Pradesh, Telangana, Vidarbha, Andhra Pradesh, North-Central Maharashtra and several parts of Rajasthan.

Clouds can give some relief here

The IMD has forecast rainfall in the North-Eastern states besides Jammu-Kashmir, Gilgit-Baltistan and Himachal Pradesh. According to Skymet, scattered rain may occur in some areas of Punjab and Uttarakhand in the next 24 hours. Thunderstorms will continue to occur in Assam, Sikkim, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Coastal Karnataka and Kerala.

Weather will be disturbed in UP
The mercury climbing in the whole of Uttar Pradesh, including Lucknow, will continue to suffer like this till 27 May. According to JP Gupta, director of the zonal meteorological center, the temperature in Lucknow may cross 41 degrees Celsius by Wednesday. A decrease in temperature is expected from Thursday. With cloud cover there may be showers in many parts of the state including Lucknow on Friday.

Condition of last 24 hours
Many areas of the country are badly affected by the heat. Heat wave is underway in Delhi, Madhya Pradesh, Telangana, Gujarat, Andhra Pradesh, Haryana, Rajasthan. According to Skymet, light rain occurred in Northeast India, Sikkim, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal. Medium range rainfall occurred over Kerala and south-coastal Karnataka.
